Bacon wrapped meatballs – smoked and glazed with BBQ sauce. A delicious and super simple recipe for entertaining a crowd. And can be made Keto friendly! Just adjust your BBQ Sauce to a keto friendly BBQ sauce and double check your meatball ingredients
The idea is dead simple – start with frozen meatballs, bacon and bbq sauce. Halve your slices of bacon and wrap one half around each FROZEN meatball. Secure with a toothpick. Repeat until out of meatballs.
Egg setup: Indirect at 250 with plate setter in there – I utilized cherry to complement the bacon, but you can select a wood flavor that works for you.
Smoke the wrapped meatballs for 2-3 hours until the bacon is set and to your liking. Then remove from egg, dunk each meatball in your BBQ sauce of choice (toothpicks really come in handy here) and return to your grate. I highly recommend using a Cooling/Baking sheet to put the meatballs on – makes on and off the Egg super easy.
Smoke for another 15-20 minutes until the sauce sets and serve! Simple as thatTools Used:
